All good things must come to an end…

As most of you know by now, Breanne and I made the personal decision to close our doors here (as of Dec. 31st) at Two Little Birdies after 4 years. It was not an impulsive decision, but a long thought out and joint one, our lives has changed very much since opening and priorities have shifted. Breanne had her 3rd daughter in the spring and I am due to have my third son this February - life has gotten a lot busier! We have found it very hard to balance our home life with our business and obviously one has to come before the other. We have had a gratifying experience over the last 4 years, getting to know so many new faces as well making new friends. It was always a joy to go to work knowing the day would bring in familiar customers as well as new ones. We just want to say a heart-felt THANK YOU!!! so much for your patronage and support, it was truly appreciated - we always strived to provide our customers with the best and most genuine customer service we could provide.

MY NEW NIECE - BABY ISLA!

My sister and business partner Breanne had her third BEAUTIFUL baby girl yesterday just after 11 am! Isla weighed 6lbs. 7 oz., and is 19 and a half inches long, she has lots of long dark hair and barely makes a peep. Breanne did so well (no epidural - not by choice!) I’m so proud of her! TWO LITTLE BIRDIES 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

We can’t believe it had been 3 years already since we opened our doors here at Two Little Birdies! From our very first day we had such a great response from Saskatoon, we truly appreciate the local business and support. It has been rewarding to see the same familiar faces coming through the door year after year and especially fun to see families grow and watch babies grow up! As well, we have made cherished new friendships through our business.

There has been many changes since our first year in business and we are looking to make some big ones here at the shop - watch for a whole new look and focus on products that make us unique to Saskatoon. NAUGHTY OR NICE?

For when they’re naughty the Time-Out Pad by Gro-Group is a must have. Simply set the built-in timer to the desired time-out duration (usually one minute per year of the child’s age) and sit the child on the pressure sensitive pad. If the child gets up before the end of the programmed time, an alarm sounds to alert the parent or carer, and the countdown will pause until the child sits back down. The Time-Out pad is also tamper proof - so your child can’t play with the controls. Once the full time-out countdown has elapsed, the finish tune is played to let everyone know that the session has ended. The child should then apologise and be rewarded with a big hug!
